According to the agreements between China and Brazil, Chinese nationals from Mainland China holding diplomatic and public affairs passport can enter Brazil without a visa and stay in Brazil for 30 days. Holders of other passport types need to apply for a visa, and cannot apply for a visa on arrival in Brazil. Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR passport holders can enter Brazil visa-free and stay in Brazil for 90 days.

Foreign tourists who have vistied other Latin American countries or African countries before arriving in Brazil might be required by the Brazilian airport authorities to produce their valid international yellow fever vaccination certificate.
