    Time limit for booking: Please book, change or cancel the service on the website no later than 6 hours before flight departure.Purchase is not allowed after check-in.

    we provide

    The prepaid extra piece of baggage shall not exceed 203CM
    in linear dimensions (sum of the length, width and height)
    and 32KG in total weight.

    If your extra baggage does not comply with the requirements
    specified above, it is likely that we will not be able to accept it
    for carriage.

  • Helpful tips

    After booking the prepaid excess baggage fee service, you will receive a short text message for confirmation.

    When you arrive at the airport for check-in, please do remind our check-in staff that you have paid in advance the excess baggage fee, lest you be charged again.

    Note for refund:In the case of a refund involving passengers who have two pieces of prepaid baggage, the second piece of prepaid baggage must be prior to the first.

    You can call 95583 to get the receipt for the excess baggage fee within 45 days after using the service.

    Don’t worry. We block in advance a certain zone of great seats. So, you can select your preferred seat in advance.

  • Restrictions

    1. Qualifying tickets: international tickets with numbers beginning with “999”
    2. Qualifying flights: international direct flights coded CA actually carried by Air China, does not apply to code-share flights
    3. Qualifying classes: Economy Class
    4. Time limit for purchase: Passengers fly on Air China international flights can purchase seat with more legroom through all Air China's direct sales channels (including Beijing Capital International Airport check-in counter and ticket counter) before the check-in counter is closed. Seat selection purchase deadlines for individual flights may be earlier, subject to system requirements. Please check with staff for updates.Purchase is not allowed after check-in.
    5. Qualifying passengers:adults and children
    6. In line with CAAC regulations, passengers who occupy seats in the emergency exit seat , need to be above 15 years of age, less than 65 years of age, in accordance with the relevant conditions, willing and have the ability to fulfill the corresponding obligations. Please consult the purchase channels.
    7. You can call 95583 to get the receipt for the excess baggage fee within 45 days after using the service.

  • Helpful tips

    Regulations for changes, refunds and rescheduling
    1. Changes: not allowed.
    2. Rescheduling:notallowed. Passengers who require rescheduling must request a refund of the ZUOXIANGQICHENG productpurchase (see below for refund regulations), change the ticket itinerary, and then re-purchase ZUOXIANGQICHENG productin order to choose a seat
    3. It is likely that you won’t get the seat you have paid for in advance due to the changes to the flight, the aircraft or the actions take for safety or operational reasons. If that happens, we will do everything possible to assign to you another seat that is with the equal value. If the new seat does not in the equal value, you can request a refund on your ticket through the original channel of ticket purchase.
    4. Refunds:
    ●  Refunds shall be processed through the original sales channel of theZUOXIANGQICHENG productpurchase
    ●  For applications for refunds made more than 48 hours prior to scheduled flight departure, the seat selection fee can be refunded without charge
    ●  For applications for refunds made within 48 hours of scheduled flight departure, the fee cannot be refunded; if passengers already have processed a refund for their ticket, the fee can be refunded without charge
    ●  Passengers who are not eligible to be seated in seats in the emergency exit row because they fail to meet the requirements cannot apply for a refund
    ●  In cases where passengers pay to upgrade or redeem mileage awards for an upgrade, the product can be refunded without charge
    ●  In cases where passengers cannot occupy the reserved seat but they are assigned another seat of the same value, with a higher value or in a higher class, then the seat-selection fee cannot be refunded
    ●  If the refund conditions for ZUOXIANGQICHENG productare met, the refund will be valid for up to 12 months after purchase.

  • Service name and description

    ●    Air China offers eligible passengers one night of free accommodation, breakfast, and transportation between the transit hotel and airport.

    ●    This service is available in Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Tianjin.

    ●    In Shanghai, free transportation is only available between Pudong International Airport and the transit hotel. Passengers transferring at Hongqiao International Airport must make their own travel arrangements.

    ●    Passengers must transfer at one of the above locations and meet the Air China transit hotel terms and conditions to be eligible for this service.

  • Terms and conditions



    ●    Transit time
    Passengers must have an overnight layover in the transfer city which lasts between 6 and 24 hours.
    ●    Passengers must hold a connecting flight ticket whose ticket number begins with “999.”Passengers must hold a connecting flight ticket with two or more segments booked under the same reference number and ticket number. Alternatively, passengers may hold multiple tickets with consecutive ticket numbers if they booked too many segments.
    ●    Passengers holding tickets with the fare codes O/I/X/N may not use the transit hotel service.
    ●    Both inbound and outbound segments must bear the CA airline code.
    ●    Both inbound and outbound flights may be operated by Air China, Shandong Airlines or Shenzhen Airlines, providing they meet the following requirements:

          ♦  For passengers transferring in Beijing, if the international segment of a connecting flight is operated by Air China and the booking class is first class or business class (fare codes F/A/J/C/D/Z/R), passengers may call the Air China Sales and Service Hotline (95583) to book a luxury transit hotel.
          ♦  For passengers transferring in Chengdu, if the international segment of a connecting flight is operated by Air China and the booking class is first class or business class (fare codes F/A/J/C/D/Z), passengers may call the Air China Sales and Service Hotline (95583) to book a luxury transit hotel.
          ♦  All other passengers who meet the transit hotel terms and conditions may book an ordinary transit hotel.

  • Please note:

    ●    The transit hotel service is a complimentary service provided for customer convenience only. Air China is not obliged to offer this service for connecting flights, nor is this service bundled with paid flights. Passengers are not charged a fee for using this service, nor the cost of this service included in the ticket price or taxes paid by customers. Air China does not assume any liability for issues that relate to the service provider.
    ●    This service is provided subject to room availability at partner hotels. Air China cannot guarantee that accommodation will be available for all qualifying passengers. Therefore, passengers should book accommodation as soon as possible after confirming their itinerary.
    ●    Passengers must book a transit hotel in person or through a self-service channel prior to boarding their inbound flight. On-arrival bookings are not accepted.
    ●    In the event of a flight segment change, passengers must re-book accommodation in advance; otherwise, their booking will be invalidated.
    ●    After arriving at the hotel, passengers must present the identification documents used to purchase their tickets, as well as any relevant boarding passes to verify their identity. Hotel staff may retain copies of customer identification documents and boarding passes. If customers do not agree to have their documents copied, they will be considered to have voluntarily forfeited use of the transit hotel service.
    ●    Hotel check-in and check-out times are determined by the hotel.
    ●    Passengers who have reserved transit hotels in Beijing, Chengdu, or Shanghai should go to the Air China transfer service desk upon arrival to request a pick-up. If the service desk is closed, passengers can contact the hotel directly using the contact details enclosed in the booking confirmation. Alternatively, passengers can call the Air China Sales and Service Hotline (95583) and follow the instructions left at the service desk. Air China will contact the hotel on their behalf to request a pick-up.
    ●    Passengers who have reserved transit hotels in Hangzhou and Tianjin can contact the hotel directly using the contact details enclosed in the booking confirmation.   • Helpful tips


    ●  The space of the transit lounges is limited. Advance reservation is required.
    ●  Reservation needs to be made on Air China’s official website before the flight departs from the connecting airport. Passengers will qualify for lounge access only after reservation has been made successfully. Otherwise, access to the lounge is not allowed.
    ●  If the ticket on the connecting fight is rebooked, reservation for the service needs to be made again on Air China’s official website, and lounge access is allowed only after such reservation has been made successfully.
    ●  At the time of lounge visit, the passenger is required to provide reservation code, his/her ID used at the time of reservation and the boarding pass of the flight segment in question for the passenger’s identity validation. The staff will make and file the photocopies of the passenger’s ID and boarding pass. If the passenger does not agree that the service supplier makes photocopies of the relevant documents, it will be considered that the passenger gives up the benefits of the service on a voluntary basis.
    ●  The number of guestrooms, shower rooms and sleeping rooms in a lounge is limited, which makes it impossible to guarantee that a passenger’s need is always been met. The passenger who needs one should make the request at the time of lounge visit.

    1. Time of reservation:
    (1) Reservations for airport drop-off must be completed 8 hours before the departure time of the flight (local time).
    (2) Reservations for airport pickup must be completed 8 hours before the arrival time of the flight (local time).
    2. The chauffeur transfer service is only available for pickups and drop-offs between the airport terminals and specific areas in the corresponding cities.
    3. Platinum Card members holding first class or business class (F, A, J, C, D, Z) tickets for Europe, Americas, Oceania, and Africa routes operated by Air China, may also request this service for code share flights or non-Air China 999 tickets.
    4. For segments where the Chauffeur transfer service is available at both the origin and destination, passengers may choose either airport drop-off in their city of departure, or airport pickup in their city of arrival, but not both.
    Example1: A Gold Card passenger holding F class tickets from Chengdu to Beijing may choose either drop-off in Chengdu or pickup in Beijing, but may not choose both drop-off in Chengdu and pickup in Beijing.
    Example2: A Gold Card passenger holding F class round trip tickets from Chengdu to Beijing may choose either drop-off in Chengdu or pickup in Beijing for the Chengdu to Beijing segment, and either drop-off in Beijing or pickup in Chengdu for the Beijing to Chengdu segment. However, they may not select both drop-off in Chengdu and pickup in Beijing for the Chengdu to Beijing segment or both drop-off in Beijing and pickup in Chengdu for the Beijing to Chengdu segment.
    5. International transfer passengers transferring between the Shanghai Hongqiao and Shanghai Pudong airports may qualify for Chauffeur transfer service between the two airports if the connecting time is at least 4 hours and the Hongqiao or Pudong segment meets the conditions for Chauffeur transfer service.
    Example: A passenger holding R Class tickets for Paris to Shanghai Pudong//Shanghai Hongqiao to Chengdu whose connecting time in Shanghai is 5 hours may request Chauffeur transfer service between Shanghai Pudong and Shanghai Hongqiao airports, as the R class segment from Paris to Shanghai Pudong meets the conditions for Chauffeur transfer service. If the connecting time were 3 hours, they would not qualify.
    6. When the Chauffeur transfer service is available in the transit city of a connecting flight:
    (1) When the transit time is at least 6 hours, and at least one of the segments of the flight meets the conditions for Chauffeur transfer service, the passenger may enjoy either pickup or drop-off service in this city, according to which of the segments meets the conditions of service.
    Example: A Silver Card passenger holding F Class tickets from Frankfurt to Shanghai via Beijing with more than 6 hours transit time in Beijing. Chauffeur transfer service is available in Beijing, and the Frankfurt to Beijing segment meets the service conditions. Therefore, this passenger may request pickup service in Beijing. However, as the service conditions for the Beijing to Shanghai segment are F Class and Gold Card or higher status, they do not qualify for the service and cannot request drop-off in Beijing or pickup in Shanghai.
    (2) When the transit time is less than 6 hours, passengers may not reserve pickup or drop-off service in the transit city, even if one of the segments of the flight meets the conditions for Chauffeur transfer service.
    7. Passengers transferring from a domestic to an international segment (or vice-versa) may reserve drop-off (pickup) service in their city of departure (arrival) for the domestic segment if the international segment meets the conditions for the Chauffeur transfer service, the transit time is less than 6 hours, and the Chauffeur transfer service is available in the domestic departure (arrival) city.
    Example: A passenger holding D Class tickets from Frankfurt to Shanghai via Beijing with a 5 hour transit time in Beijing. This passenger may request pickup service in Shanghai even though the Beijing to Shanghai segment does not qualify, but may not request pickup or drop-off service in Beijing.
    8. The Chauffeur transfer service does not allow service to areas other than those specified in the reservation. Additional fees will be incurred if a passenger wishes to change the areas of service in the reservation. The passenger must negotiate with the service provider independently and agree to the billing standards of the service provider (the service provider reserves the ultimate right of interpretation regarding billing standards), and the passenger will be responsible for all involved expenses.
    If a passenger wishes to add a stop during the Chauffeur transfer service, the passenger must negotiate with the service provider independently and agree to the billing standards of the service provider (the service provider reserves the ultimate right of interpretation regarding billing standards), and the passenger will be responsible for all involved expenses. Additional fees will also be incurred if a passenger wishes to add a second or additional stop. The passenger must negotiate with the service provider independently and agree to the billing standards of the service provider (the service provider reserves the ultimate right of interpretation regarding billing standards), and the passenger will be responsible for all involved expenses.
    9.The Chauffeur transfer service may not be used in combination with free hotel transfer service.
    10. Vehicle waiting time limits:
          Airport pickup - 3 hour waiting time beginning from the time of actual flight arrival;
          Airport drop-off - 30 minute waiting time beginning from the agreed service time;
    If these limits are exceeded, the service is considered to have been used and may not be requested again for the same ticket on the same segment.
    11. This service cannot be reserved by passengers booking infant or child tickets.
    12. The system does not allow passengers to reserve this service on the Air China website after check-in procedures have been completed. Please contact the Air China sales and service hot line by dialing 95583 to reserve.
    13. Dates the Chauffeur transfer service may be reserved:
          Airport drop-off: flights scheduled to depart between May 1 and December 31, 2017 (local time in the city where the service will take place)
          Airport pickup: flights scheduled to arrive between May 1 and December 31, 2017 (local time in the city where the service will take place)

    With each flight segment, only one bus ride can be booked. For example, for a Beijing-Shanghai (Pudong) flight, the bus segment can only be Baoding-Beijing or Shanghai (Pudong)-Hangzhou. It is not allowed to book Baoding-Beijing and Shanghai (Pudong) -Hangzhou segments at the same time.

  • Helpful tips

    1. Since there could be many passengers using the bus service, please make sure that you arrive at the bus station and present your ID card or passport to the staff for verification at least 30 minutes before bus departure. If you fail to arrive on time, the staff will arrange you onto a subsequent bus.
    2. Because the provisions of the bus operator on the transportation of infants, pregnant women, injured/ill passengers, disabled persons and other types of special passengers are different from those of Air China, in the case of such special passengers, the provisions of the bus operator apply.
    3. Because the ground transportation routes in different cities are subject to the contracts between Air China and the ground transportation operators, the validity periods of the ground transportation routes could differ according to cities, and the ground transportation routes which are shown on our website and which can be booked are relevant.
    4. All legal responsibilities related to the ground transportation operations (bus, train) rest with the ground transportation operators. Air China will not be held responsible for any robbery, accident damage or baggage loss occurring to you in the course of the transportation.
    5. Air China will not be held responsible if you fail to make it onboard your Air China flight because you fail to arrive at the bus/train station on time, the bus/train operator has operational disruptions or a Force Majeure incident occurs.
    6. On the bus segment, you are not allowed to request a particular seat, and you should be at the bus station to confirm the bus departure time before getting onboard. On the train segment, you are not allowed to request a particular seat, either, and you will be assigned a seat automatically by the system when collecting your train ticket at the designated service window/counter.
    7. After the staff at the bus station counter verifies your ID/passport, it will be considered that you have confirmed that you will take the bus, the bus service is valid only on the day and the date of bus ride cannot be changed. But if there’s an available seat on a subsequent bus, you are allowed to switch to the subsequent bus.
    8. The ground transportation segment does not qualify for PhoenixMiles kilometers accrual, and it is not allowed to use the PhoenixMiles kilometers to request free ground transportation ride.
    9. The train segment must be booked at least 2 days in advance. For example, the May 26 train ride must be booked no later than May 24. Therefore, based on the provision of the railway system that train tickets are available for sale from 30 days before departure, the train segment can be booked from 2 days to 30 days before departure.
    10. You must collect your train ticket by presenting the original copy of your valid ID from the designated window/counter at the train station at least 90 minutes before departure on the day of the train ride. If you fail to collect your train ticket on the day of the train ride, the related ground transportation segment (train) will expire and be invalidated. No train ticket will be issued again and no refund granted.
    11. After you collect your train ticket, it will be considered that the ground transportation segment has been used. You should keep your ticket properly. If you lose your train ticket, you can only report its loss and have a new ticket issued based on the relevant provisions of the railway system.
    12. When the train segment is linked with Air China’s flights arriving at/departing from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, you should be responsible for the costs arising from the ground transportation between Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Railway Station.
