Notice on Adjustment of Involuntary Ticket Change Handling Rules regarding Air China’s Hong KongSAR Route

Dear Passengers,

Since the capacity of the Hong Kong International Airport to provide passengers’ services has been affected on August 12^th 2019, some of Air China incoming and outgoing flights have been cancelled or diverted. Air China will adjust its flights according to the situation at the airport. Flight cancellation or diversion information is as follows:

Ticket Change Handling Rules:

In order to provide better ticketing services for the affected passengers, Air China has made the following arrangements for passengers flying to or from Hong Kong, as follows:  

1.Application

Air China “999” tickets (including tickets exchanged for with PhoenixMiles kilometers) on Hong Kong route operated by Air China and  code share flights with CA code - tickets issued before August 12^th 2019 (included) for travel on Hong Kong flights between August 12^th 2019 and August 13^th 2019, and CA118 on August 14^th 2019 with confirmed reservations.

2. Rebooking or Rerouting

If a passenger requests flight change or route change for the first time, within the validity period of the ticket, the passenger can be rebooked on  Hong Kong SAR, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Macao SAR Air China-operated incoming and outgoing flights that depart before August 19^th  2019(included), with no flight change handling fee charged, and the passenger can be exempted from sub-class fare differences and seasonal fare differences.

Passengers who request flight or route change again or request change to a flight or route that departs after August 19^th 2019 (excluded) are subject to the conditions of use of ticket.

3.Refund

Passengers can also, within the validity period of the ticket, request a refund on ticket, with no refund handling fee charged.

Air China will also increase the capacity input on Beijing-Shenzhen route on August 13^th 2019. Please pay close attention to Air China official website and APP for the latest news and arrange your travel plans accordingly.
