2. Basic Information
Yanji Chaoyangchuan International Airport, located in Chaoyangchuan Township of Yanji, capital of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture of Jilin Province, was initially built in 1952 as a small military airport for accommodating attack planes. In 1985, the Airport was rebuilt into a domestic feeder airport for both military and civil aviation purposes. As the only civil aviation airport in Yanbian Prefecture, the Airport is the second largest domestic feeder airport in Jilin Province and the fifth largest in Northeast China.
3. Terminal Information
Yanji Chaoyangchuan International Airport has one terminal building aligned in an east-west direction. The east wing is the Domestic Departure and Arrival Zone and the west wing is the International Departure and Arrival Zone. A terminal building expansion project that started in July 2012 will considerably enhance the airport's ability to serve passengers and ensure uninterrupted fight operation.

Passengers enter the International Departure Hall on Level 1 of the terminal building → health inspection and quarantine → conduct check-in procedures → border inspection → proceed up the escalator to Level 2 → security check → wait at the boarding gate → board the flight
International arrivals
Passengers disembark and enter the International Arrival Hall on Level 1 of the terminal building → border inspection → claim checked baggage → customs clearance → health inspection and quarantine → airport exit and ground transportation

Passengers can find taxi stands by following the directional signs. It takes approximately 20 minutes to reach downtown by taxi.
Bus:
Bus Routes No. 28, 44 and 46 connect the Airport to the city center. Starting from the Yanji University of Science and Technology, Bus Route No.28 goes by way of the Municipal Courthouse, the Railway Station, Changbai Market, and the Exhibition Center. Bus Route No. 44 starts from Dongguang Village and goes by way of the Youth Palace, Qingnian Lake, the Tourism Bureau, Women’s and Children's Hospital and the Exhibition Center. Bus Route No.46 starts from Daewoo Hotel and goes by way of Beida Market, Yanbian Hospital, the Municipal Courthouse, Yanji Bridge and Rainbow Bridge.

From Yanji, there are domestic railway routes directly to Qingdao, Changchun, Jinlin, Shenyang, Yingkou, Dandong, Dalian, Harbin, Mudanjiang and Beijing, and international railway routes to North Korea and Russia.
