2. Basic InformationOsaka Kansai International Airport is built on a man-made island in Osaka Bay, connected to Osaka by a sea-spanning bridge. Osaka Kansai Airport does not provide special counters for reserving wheelchair assistance or services for unaccompanied passengers. If you are traveling to Kansai and are in need of special services, please request these services through the staff at the ticket office at your city of origin or at your travel agency, and when arriving at the Kansai airport, please contact the counter staff from your airline.
3. Terminal InformationThe terminal at Osaka Kansai International Airport looks like a giant aircraft and consists of the main building, the south wing and the north wing. The main building has a total of four levels, Level 1 is for international arrivals, Level 2 is for domestic departures and arrivals, Level 3 is the shopping and dining area, and Level 4 is for international departures. The two wings house the boarding gates for international flights, which are on the same floor as the domestic flight boarding gates.
4. Location of Check-In CountersAir China’s check-in counters are located in Area G in the International Departure Hall on Level 4 of the terminal. Passengers flying on Air China and All Nippon Airways (ANA) code-share flights (CA and NH) and on ANA -operated flights, must check in with ANA in Area A.
5. Airport DirectionsInternational Departure ProceduresPassengers enter the international departure hall on Level 4 → Complete check-in procedures → Security check → Joint inspection area on Level 3 → Go through joint inspection procedures (customs check, passport inspection, health inspection and quarantine) → Shopping in the duty-free zone → Take the terminal-tram → International departure lounge → Board flight.
International ArrivalsPassengers take a terminal-tram to the Joint Inspection area in the international arrival hall on Level 2 → Inspection and quarantine → Passport inspection → Customs check → Proceed down to the international baggage area on Level 1 → Baggage claim → Customs baggage check → Reach the lobby → Airport exit and ground transportation.
6. VIP LoungeAir China’s VIP Lounge is called “Ying” and is located in the south part of the domestic flight hall.

7. Airport TransportationThe airport is located approximately 50 kilometers /31.1 miles from the city center.
Tramcar:The tramcar station is located opposite the terminal, a 3-minute walk away. There are two tramcar companies operating at Osaka Kansai International Airport. Passengers traveling to Umeda, or the north central area of Osaka city, should choose JR tramcars, and passengers traveling to Kyoto, should choose the JR HARUKA tramcar. Passengers traveling to Namba, or the southern central area of Osaka city should choose Nankai tramcars..
Bus:The bus station is located near the exit of the arrival hall on Level 1 of the terminal. From near to far there are three lanes, the first one is a bus lane, the second lane is for taxis, and the third is for private cars. There are automatic ticket machines at the bus station. Passengers can request a receipt, from the staff at the side window of the station.
Taxi:It takes about 50 to 60 minutes and costs approximately 18,000 yen to go to the city by taxi.
High-speed Ferry:You can buy a ferry ticket at the high-speed ferry ticket counter on Level 1 of the terminal. Transfer to the high-speed ferry pier from the terminal by taking a dedicated bus. Board the bus at the No. 12 bus stop at Terminal 1. The bus will arrive at the pier in 6 to 8 minutes and the ferry will arrive in the city about 30 minutes after it leaves the pier. The total cost is 1,800 yen (900 yen for children).

Spring: The average minimum temperature is between 3 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius, and the average maximum temperature is between 15 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius. Spring is the season of cherry blossoms, making it a perfect season for tourism;
Summer: The average minimum temperature is between 20 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius, and the average maximum temperature is between 27 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius. The rainy season is in June. The temperature gradually increases after the rainy season ends, and in July and August it is very hot;
Autumn: The average minimum temperature is between 8 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius, and the average maximum temperature is between 17 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius. In September it is still a little hot, but in October it is significantly cooler and people may need to wear light jackets or even heavier clothing;
