Tribhuvan International Airport is located in Nepal's capital Kathmandu, and it is the only international airport in Nepal. The airport, named after the late King of Nepal, Tribhuvan, is about 6 kilometers from the Kathmandu city center.

International departures
Passengers go through baggage security check and enter the Check-in Hall in the B section of the terminal building → complete check-in procedures at Air China counters→ border inspection → security check → wait at the boarding gate → board the flight
International arrivals
Passengers disembark and enter the International Arrival Hall on Level 2 of the terminal building → go through arrival border inspection → proceed down the escalator to the Baggage Claim Hall on Level 1 →carry-on baggage check→ claim checked baggage → customs check → health inspection and quarantine → airport exit and ground transportation

1. Motorcycle
The Motorcycle in Kathmandu is similar to an electric tricycle, but is slightly larger and operates on fixed routes. Passengers can get off anywhere along the route by tapping the roof with a coin. The prices are negotiable with the drivers.

Buses are the main means of transportation in Nepal. The bus service is inexpensive and many lines are available and buses are permitted to stop anywhere.

Taxis in Kathmandu are equipped with black license plates. Private taxis which are used for long-distance travel are equipped with red license plates. The flag-down fare is about Nepalese rupees 8, with an additional NPR 3 for each 200 meters. Car rental costs average NPR 800 for half a day and NPR 1,500for a whole day, excluding fuel costs.
