2. Basic Information
Yantai Laishan International Airport, Laishan Airport for short, is categorized as a Class II 4D airport, and a Class I aviation port, which can accommodate arrivals and departures of Boeing 747s and other smaller aircraft. This airport has leading modern infrastructure, communications, and navigation and control systems among China's similar sized airports. Yantai Airport is located 15km away from the south of the city, enjoying good clearance conditions and potential for development.
3. Terminal Information
Yantai Laishan International Airport has a domestic terminal and an international terminal which are connected by passageways. The airport has terminal buildings covering a total area of over 32,000 thousand square meters, 20 airliner or freighter slots, and an apron covering an area of up to 130,000 square meters. Passengers are able to board their flights through three boarding bridges or ferry vehicles. Air China is currently operating in the domestic terminal.

6. VIP Lounge
Air China’s VIP Lounge is located at the VIP Service Hall of Laishan Airport. The Airport has set up a dedicated VIP facility for VIP passengers on the first floor of the connecting area between domestic and international terminals.
Laishan Airport’s VIP Lounge launched in 2005 with four VIP Service Halls, eight to nine seats in each Hall. These halls mainly offer services such as check-in, registering luggage, guiding board, etc for VIP passengers. With the volume of VIP accommodation increasing annually, Yantai International Airport has remodeled and renovated the first floor of the connecting area between domestic and international terminals. This area, named as “The VIP Floor”, and used as the separate VIP lounge and dedicated channel for boarding, was officially opened on August 8, 2008. The VIP Floor, covers a total service and working area of nearly 700 square meters, has six VIP lounge rooms ranging from thirty to fifty square meters, and has equipped with separate departure and security systems, as well as specialized service and security personnel, providing one-stop service for VIP boarding.

Taxi:Taxi pick-up points can be found opposite the Arrivals Hall on the first floor of the terminal; the standard-model of taxi car charges a fare that starts at RMB 7 (3km inclusive), then will charge on a RMB1.5/km basis; luxury-model cars charge a fare starting at RMB 8 (3km inclusive), then charge RMB1.8/km.
Airport Bus:Airport – Long-distance Bus Terminus
Airport bus waiting points are locates outside the Arrivals Hall on the first floor of the terminal, and depart dynamically according to flight arrivals, charging a fare of RMB10.

There are over 60 bus lines in Yantai. Big buses cost1 yuan per person within 11 km. Over 11 km, every 5 km, they charge more 0.5 yuan. Medium-sized buses charges 1.5 yuan within 11km. Over 11 km, every 5 km, they charge more 0.5 yuan. Air-conditioned buses charge the same as medium-sized buses.
2. Taxis
Models of taxis in Yantai include Santanas, Citroens and Xialis. The flag-down fare for standard and ordinary taxis is 5 yuan (within 3 kilometers), and 12 yuan for more luxurious taxis. After 3 kilometers, it costs 1.5 yuan per km for standard taxis, 1.3 yuan for ordinary taxis and 2 yuan for luxurious taxis.
Yantai enjoys a temperate monsoon climate with a dry summer and humid winter. It’s one of the few coastal cities in north China. The annual mean temperature in Yantai is 12oC, which is a perfect tourist attraction for comfortable and relaxing travelling in north China.
