Free checked baggage allowance for interline operations

In accordance with the baggage carriage rules of International Air Transport Association, the rules of Air China on free checked baggage allowance apply to the ticket that involves flights operated by Air China for the whole journey.
In the case of an international interline ticket that involves flights of both Air China and a foreign carrier, the free checked baggage allowance and excess baggage fee standards have been changed. The free checked baggage allowance of MSC (Most Significant Carrier) on all routes other than those to/from the United States/Canada (except Hawaii) applies. In normal circumstances, the carrier which flies the longest geographical distance or the most significant segment in your entire journey is considered the MSC.
f Air China is the MSC in your entire journey, the free checked baggage allowance of Air China on domestic/international/regional routes applies.
If another carrier is the MSC in your entire journey, the free checked baggage allowance of the carrier in question on the segment applies.
For international interline ticket issued on and after July 1, 2015 on routes from/to United States and Canada (except Hawaii) which involve the flights of Air China and a foreign carrier, the rules on charges related to free baggage allowance and excess baggage of the first carrier shown on the ticket (First Marketing Carrier in DOT) apply.
