Heavier fines on meat smuggling into Taiwan

According to local quarantine regulations, passengers are prohibited from carrying animal and plant products into Taiwan. Smuggling of such products will be subject to penalties from 10 thousand to 1 million NTDs, and a fine of 200 thousand to 1 million NTDs will be applied to smuggling of swine meat and other pig products.
