    Tokyo Tower

    Before the 333meter Tokyo Tower was built, the world's tallest tower was the Eiffel Towerin Paris, France, which is 13 meters shorter thanTokyo Tower. The Tower is brightly lit every night from sunset to midnight.The color of the lights changes with the seasons; white in summerand orange in spring, autumn and winter.There is a two-story observation deck at the 150 meter level where visitors can enjoy the views from up high.At the 250 meter level there is another special observation deck.Three elevators transport visitorsfrom the base ofthe buildingto the observation deckin just a minute, but hardy souls can choose to climb up the563 stairs.The lower part of the Tower is the Tower Building which consists of lounges, a shopping mall, and the largest Madame Tussauds Wax Museumin Japan and the Far East.Inside Tussauds, there are dozens of life-sized wax figures depicting famous people, set in reproductions of mythical wonderlands, terrifyingprison cells,torture chambers, and other authentic settings, together with lighting and sound effects that create an experience of total immersion for visitors.On the right side of the entrance to the building, standsa statue commemorating the sled dog team that participated in the first Antarctic expedition.

     

    he Tokyo Disney Resort

    The Tokyo Disney Resort, located 10kilometersaway from theCity, opened in April 1983, with the aim ofrealizing theintegratedcombination ofhistorical knowledge, fairy tales, natural scenery and modern science, providing education in entertainment, and hoping people of all ages find fun here. The Resortconsists of two amusement parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea; the former has seven themed areas and provides entertainment, while the latter is the first eversea-themed parkdeveloped by Disney.
