Notice RegardingPre-departure COVID-19 testing and negative results to be required for all air travellers coming to Canada

Dear travellers:

 

Pre-departure COVID-19 testing and negative results to be required for all air travellers coming to Canada is requiring that, effective January 7, 2021. All air passengers five years of age or older will be required to test negative for COVID-19 before travelling from another country to Canada(Transiting travellers who will be remaining in the sterile transit area of a Canadian airport until they leave Canada).

Travellers must confirm they are aware of their obligations to provide a negative PCR test results,

The test must be performed using a PCR test within 72 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure of a flight to Canada.

 

The documentation of a negative laboratory test result must include the following data elements:

-Traveller Name and Date of Birth

-Name and civic address of the laboratory/clinic/facility that administered the test

-The date on which the test was conducted

-The Canadian entry requirements are for a Covid-19 PCR test only. Antigen or antibody tests or other types of test such as Diffractive Phase Interferometry are not accepted. The test must be performed using a PCR test within 72 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure of a flight to Canada.

-The language of the laboratory test result is not specified, however, the Government of Canada is asking that this be presented in English or French where possible. Travellers will be required to provide written or electronic documentation showing they received a negative result.

 

Notice RegardingPre-departure COVID-19 testing and negative results to be required for all air travellers coming to CanadaIn addition, passengers holding a valid COVID-19 nucleic acid test negative certificate still need to electronically declare their detailed information and quarantine plan information through the ArriveCAN system in accordance with the previous requirements of the Canadian government. Passengers who have submitted and declared successfully can enter the country. The return receipt after successful declaration must be checked and verified by the Canadian Border Service staff upon entry. The Canadian Border Services Agency will use the declaration receipt as the basis to determine whether the entrant has made a declaration. Passengers transiting in Canada do not need to use the ArriveCAN system.

 

In order not to affect your travel, you must prepare relevant documents in advance, and ensure the authenticity and validity of the relevant documents. You will be responsible for the losses caused by the failure to provide documents that meet the above requirements, such as your inability to board the flight or enter the country, and you shall also compensate Air China for all expenses paid by it.
