Prohibition against Liquid Items in Carry-on Baggage

 

For the sake of safety, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has revised its rules on liquid items carried on domestic flights.
1. Liquid items are prohibited from carriage in carry-on baggage but can be placed in checked baggage. Liquid items must be packed in a way that is in compliance with relevant provisions on air transport.
2. A small quantity of cosmetics and personal care products is allowed in carry-on baggage. For each type of cosmetics and personal care products, only one piece is allowed and its container cannot exceed 100 ml in volume. All items must be placed in separate bags for inspection.
3. For passenger who connects onto domestic flight form overseas flight, the duty-free liquid items must be placed in a sealed transparent plastic bag with the supporting proof of receipt, and are subject to inspection.
4. Passenger who travels with infant can request infant service at the time of ticket purchase, and onboard we can offer formula for the infant for free. Liquid medications for passengers with diabetes or other serious medical conditions are subject to inspection and shall be in the custody of the flight attendants.
5. For passenger on international or regional flight, the relevant provisions on liquid items released by Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on March 17th 2007 apply.
6. Passenger is to be held responsible for all consequences, like failure to catch his/her flight, arising from his/her violation of the above regulations.
This notice becomes effective from the day of its release
