Passenger Notice
  • Passengers who have confirmed or probable cases of COVID-19, have had close contact with confirmed or probable cases, or have a fever (reaching 37.3℃), cough, weakness, headache or other symptoms shall seek medical treatment immediately and not take public transport.
  • Please wear the face mask during the whole journey and we recommended that you wear KN95/N95 non-breathing type. Please don’t take off your face mask if it is not necessary. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
  • Please cooperate with our staff to have body temperature measurements taken at the check-in counter, boarding gate and within the cabin.
  • Please use the disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer provided at the boarding gate to clean your hands before boarding the aircraft.
  • Please ensure that you meet the requirements and accept the epidemic prevention and control policies of the departure country/region, transit country/region and destination country/region before you travel.
  • All passengers must truthfully report all relevant information in accordance with the requirements of the latest version of the Exit/Entry Health Declaration Form issued by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.

  • Please comply with the relevant requirements of the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China. According to these laws and regulations and the requirements of relevant authorities, you will be held legally responsible if you report false information or refuse to cooperate with relevant epidemic prevention and control measures causing or risking the spread of COVID-19.
  • Restrictions on Entry into China (Last update date:September 24,2020)

    In accordance with the announcement issued by the National Immigration Administration of the People's Republic of China on March 26, 2020, China has decided to temporarily suspend foreign nationals holding valid visas or residence permits from entering China effective from 12:00 AM on March 28, 2020. Entry by foreign nationals with APEC Business Travel Cards will also be suspended. Policies including port visas, the 24/72/144-hour visa-free transit policy, the Hainan 30-day visa-free policy, the Shanghai 15-day visa-free policy for cruise tour groups, the Guangdong 144-hour visa-free policy for foreign tour groups from Hong Kong or Macao SAR and the Guangxi 15-day visa-free policy for foreign tour groups from ASEAN countries will also be temporarily suspended. Entry for holders of diplomatic, service, courtesy or C visas will not be affected. Foreign nationals coming to China for essential economic, trade, scientific or technological activities or in response to the needs of a humanitarian emergency may apply for a visa at Chinese embassies or consulates. Entry by foreign nationals with visas issued after this announcement will not be affected.

    According to a joint announcement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and the National Immigration Administration on September 23, 2020, the following adjustments will be made to the Announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Immigration Administration on the Temporary Suspension of Entry by Foreign Nationals Holding Valid Chinese Visas or Residence Permits issued on 26 March 2020: Effective from 12:00 AM, 28 September 2020, foreign nationals holding valid Chinese residence permits for work, personal matters, and reunion are allowed to enter China with no need to apply for new visas. If a foreign national holds one of the three residence permit categories listed above and the permit expired after 12:00 AM, 28 March 2020, the holder may apply for the relevant visa by presenting the expired residence permit and relevant materials to a Chinese embassy or consulate, on the condition that the purpose of the holders’ visit to China has not changed. Those individuals mentioned above must strictly abide by the epidemic prevention and control regulations set by the People's Republic of China. All other measures referenced within the March 26 Announcement will continue to be implemented.

    Changes to Requirements for Entry into Other Countries/Regions

    In order to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19, some countries and regions have implemented entry restriction measures. Before your travel, please ensure that you find out the latest specific provisions relating to passenger entry/exit for your destination country/region from the relevant embassies and consulates. Please make your travel plans accordingly in order to avoid any unnecessary losses.

    Epidemic Prevention Health Code (International Version)

    In accordance with the Announcement on Requirements for Overseas Chinese Passengers to Report Health Information for Epidemic Prevention Before Returning Home by Air issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the General Administration of Customs on April 7, 2020, Chinese passengers who have purchased a ticket for flights from certain countries to China shall report their health information in advance to curb the cross-border spread of the epidemic. The specific requirements are as follows:

    • From April 8, 2020, passengers who have purchased tickets for flights are required to report their personal data, health status, recent travel details and other information daily through the international version of the epidemic prevention health code WeChat mini program before boarding their flight. In special circumstances, the above information can be filled in by others.
    • A transitional period runs from April 8, 2020 to April 22, 2020. Chinese passengers taking flights during the transitional period shall report their information every day from April 8. Passengers taking a flight after the transitional period shall report their information every day starting from the 14th day prior to boarding their flight.
    • Passengers who have not reported their information as required will not be permitted to board the aircraft. Passengers reporting false information will be prevented from traveling and will be held legally responsible.

    Nucleic Acid Testing Requirements
    Nucleic acid testing requirements for entry into China

    In accordance with the Announcement on Presenting Negative Results of a COVID-19 Nucleic Acid Test Before Boarding by Passengers Taking Flights Bound for China issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on July 20, 2020:

    • Chinese and foreign passengers taking flights bound for China shall take a nucleic acid test 5 days prior to boarding. The test shall be conducted by an institution designated or recognized by the overseas Chinese embassy or consulate.
    • Chinese passengers shall upload a photo as proof of a negative test result through the epidemic prevention health code applet (international version).
    • Foreign passengers shall use proof of a negative test result to apply for a health declaration form at their Chinese embassy or consulate.
    • Airlines are responsible for checking health codes or health declaration forms prior to boarding. Passengers who do not meet the relevant requirements will not be allowed to board the aircraft. Each airline shall strictly comply with these checking procedures.
    • Passengers providing false proofs or information will be held legally responsible.

    Chinese embassies will carefully evaluate the nucleic acid testing capacity of each corresponding country and publish implementation details for the above requirements at the proper time.
