What is the operational status regarding Air China’s in-flight WIFI, and what technologies will the Company use for the model? What is Air China’s installation plan for the fleet?

As of March 2016 Air China can provide in-flight WIFI services in 25 aircraft. Of these, two are planes with maritime satellite narrow-band internet, one is a KU-band satellite plane with live TV broadcasting capabilities, and there are three air-to-ground (ATG) broadband planes that are waiting to formally begin operations.

 

Air China has currently remodelled 20 wide-body aircraft and five narrow-body aircraft. The wide-body aircraft includes Airbus A330 and Boeing 777 aircraft, and the narrow-body aircraft include Airbus A321 and Boeing 738 aircraft.
