A Notice on Free Ticket Change Service for Passengers Stalled by Typhoon Tan Mei

Due to the impact of Typhoon Tanmei, certain Air China flights to/ from Japan are affected. To help passengers reschedule, the policy for free change or cancellation of relevant tickets is adjusted as follows:

1. Eligible tickets

Air China and Shenzhen Airlines-operated flights to/ from Japan with a ticket number preceded by “999” that were booked before 00:00 (excluded), 29 September, 2018 and scheduled for travel between 00:00 (included), 29 September and 24:00 (excluded) 1 October, 2018 (includes non-endorseable, non-changeable and non-refundable tickets, and award tickets).

2. Flight Changes

1. Flight change in original route. No change fee will be incurred the first time the passenger request flight change within the ticket validity period. Any price differences between booking sub-classes and peak/off-peak fares will also be waived.

2. Route change. No change fee will be incurred the first time the passenger request rebook to an Air China and Shenzhen Airlines-operated flight scheduled for travel before 24:00 (included) October 31, 2018 to/ from Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sendai, Hiroshima, Okinawa, Sapporo, Osaka) within the ticket validity period. Any price differences between booking sub-classes and peak/off-peak fares will also be waived.

3. Normal fare rules will apply if passengers request subsequent changes to their itinerary, or rebook to an Air China or Shenzhen Airlines-operated flight to/ from Japan scheduled for travel after 00:00 (included) November 1, 2018.

3. Cancellations

Air China shall also waive cancellation fees for passengers who cancel their ticket within the ticket validity period.
