Tips to passengers on to the latest boarding requirements on departure flight from Hong Kong, China

Dear passengers,

    According to the requirements of the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China, from March 29, 2022, all passengers departing from Hong Kong, China and taking Air China flights to Beijing or Chengdu or Chongqing must complete a rapid PCR nucleic acid test at the designated test location at the Hong Kong International Airport 8 hours before the scheduled flight departure time.

    Please go to www.coronavirus gov.hk/chi/special-outbound-test. HTML to make an appointment for rapid nucleic acid testing, and complete the test at the designated testing location at Hong Kong International Airport 8 hours before the scheduled flight departure time. As the on-site test takes 2-3 hours for the results to come out, please arrive at the airport at least 5-6 hours (within 8 hours) before the flight takes off for rapid nucleic acid test.     Passengers departing from Hong Kong China and taking Air China flights to Beijing or Chongqing must complete a rapid PCR nucleic acid test at the test site designated by the Hong Kong International Airport within 8 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight. In addition to that, passengers must also complete a nucleic acid test at a test institution recognized by the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China within 48 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight. Specifics of the nucleic acid test within 48 hours are as follows:

    1. "Within 48 hours" starts from the "reporting time" of nucleic acid test to the scheduled departure time of the flight. For nucleic acid test reports that do not specify the "report time" but only the "report date", the starting time of "within 48 hours" shall be 00:00 on the "report date" day.

    2. The sampling method for nucleic acid test must be based on sampling of nasal swab or nasal-throat combined. Children under 6 years old can use throat test for sampling.

    3. The nucleic acid test certificate must be issued by a testing institution recognized by the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. For details, please refer to https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/pdf/List_of_recognised_laboratories_RTPCR.pdf 。

    4. The nucleic acid test certificate must be in print or electronic version. The nucleic acid test report in the form of SMS is not acceptable.

 

    Please read the above information carefully, prepare relevant documents in advance, and ensure the authenticity and effectiveness of relevant documents. Air China will go through the check-in procedures for you after checking the negative certificate of nucleic acid test, the negative certificate of rapid nucleic acid test and other necessary travel documents.
