Tips for Passengers Going to America on Knowing in Advance the New Requirements of Carrying Powder

As required by U.S. Department of Homeland Transportation Security Administration, if you are soon to travel to the United States, please check the list of prohibited items on the TSA website（https://www.tsa.gov） prior to departure.

In accordance with the latest regulations: powder-like substances (such as flour, sugar, ground coffee, spices and cosmetics) over 12oz/350ml (including 12oz/350ml) shall be packed in checked baggage; but the “medically prescribed powder-like substances, baby formula and human remains” passing security screening are not restricted, and may be packed in carry-on baggage. For power substances which pass security screening but exceed the specifications, please return to the check-in counter to drop them off. The drop-off may affect your schedule and cause additional expenses at your own charge. Please make preparation in advance.

Note: Specification, weight and packaging requirements for checked baggage 

1．The sum of length, width and height of each baggage shall be no shorter than 60cm (24in) and no longer than 203cm (80in, including pulley and handle);

2．The weight of each baggage shall be no lighter than 2kg (4lb) and no heavier than 32kg (70lb);

The checked baggage should be packed, locked and bundled properly and securely enough to sustain pressure. Bamboo basket, net bag, straw rope and plastic bag shall not be used as outer packaging of baggage.
