Notice on Involuntary Ticket Change Handling Rules regarding Air China-Operated Honolulu (HNL) Route

In the aftermath of the volcanic eruption in Honolulu, in order to provide reliable services regarding flight change and ticket refund for affected passengers, it’s now decided that the following rules would apply to involuntary ticket change or refund on Air China’s Honolulu route. The specifics are as follows:

I. Eligibility

Air China “999” tickets (including Non-Refundable/ Non-Rerouteable / Non-Endorsable tickets and tickets exchanged for with PhoenixMiles kilometers) on Honolulu route operated by Air China for the whole journey - tickets issued before 24:00 on May 2, 2018 (included) travel on Honolulu flights between 00:00 on May 3, 2018 (included) and 24:00 on May 13, 2018 (not included) and with confirmed reservations on Air China-operated Honolulu (HNL) flights.

The passenger should provide proof like the original copy/photocopy/scanned copy reflecting the Island of Hawaii (KOA/ITO) -related subsequent air ticket and the original documents of payment for the period between May 3,2018 and May 13,2018

II. Flight change

If a passenger requests flight change for the first time, within the validity period of the ticket, the passenger can be booked on a Honolulu flight (including connecting flight) that departs before 24:00, May 20, 2018 (included), with no flight change handling fee charged, and the passenger can be exempted from sub-class fare differences and seasonal fare differences.

Passengers who request flight change again or request change to a flight that departs after 00:00 on May 21, 2018 (included) are subject to the conditions of use of ticket.

III. Refund

Passengers can also, within the validity period of the ticket, request a refund on ticket, with no refund handling fee charged.
