Visitors are required to fill in a customs declaration form upon entry. Except those of diplomats, visitors'baggage must be subjected to X- ray inspection. In accordance with Indonesia's customs and quarantine regulations, items of daily use whose total value is no more than USD 250/person or USD 1,000/family as well as 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 200 grams of tobacco and 1000 kilograms of alcoholic drinks are tax-free. Visitors who carry more than IDR 50 million in cash, animals, plants, films, video tape and record need to report to the customs. Failure to report carries a fine, and the items could be confiscated. Drugs, firearms, weapons, ammunitions, explosives and pornographic books and publications are prohibited.
