Regulations on the Items Taken into and out of Hong Kong

The government of Hong Kong SAR imposes tough regulations on the import and export of prohibited/controlled items.

Prohibited/controlled items include dangerous drugs, psychotropic substances, controlled chemicals, antibiotics, firearms, ammunition, fireworks, strategic commodities, rough diamonds, animals, plants, endangered species, telecommunications equipment, game, meat and poultry.

The above items taken by visitors without valid license or permit into/out of Hong Kong SAR could be prosecuted, and such items seized and confiscated.

Visitors who take prohibited/controlled items are penalized according to applicable laws and regulations.
