raveling with a Guide Dog/Hearing Dog in the Cabin

Passengers with a visual/hearing impairment and are traveling with a guide/hearing dog in the cabin alone must be aged 16 or over. Upon boarding the flight, passengers must ensure that the service dog is wearing a service dog vest and a leash and does not disturb other passengers. In accordance with CAAC flight safety requirements, only a certain number of eligible passengers may be accepted on each flight. The number of passengers that may be accepted per flight is dependent on the aircraft type. To travel with a service dog, please submit a request through any Air China direct ticket sales department no later than 48 hours (inclusive) before the scheduled flight departure. Passengers must provide identification as well as valid quarantine and vaccination certificates for service dogs both at the time of booking and when checking in at the airport. Passengers should check in with their service dog at the airport check-in counter no later than 120 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time.

Passengers are not required to pay any additional fees for the Guide/Hearing Dog Service. If a passenger agrees to check in a service dog, Air China will complete the check-in process for the dog and its container and food in line with the procedures for Pets as Checked Baggage free of charge. The weight of the dog, container and food will not affect the passengers free baggage allowance.

Passengers traveling on international routes should familiarize themselves with quarantine and vaccination regulations for service dogs for the countries they are entering/exiting and ensure that all relevant requirements are met.
