2. Basic Information
The Phuket International Airport is located on the north side of Phuket Island and serves as a major airport in southern Thailand. The airport has air routes to Malaysia and Singapore, and has one landing strip.
3. Terminal Information
Phuket International Airport currently has two terminals, the international terminal (new building) and the domestic terminal (old building). Air China operates in the international terminal.
4. Location of Check-In Counters
The Air China check-in counter is located in the departure hall on the third floor of the international terminal. No fixed counters have been assigned.
5. Airport Directions
International Departure
Passengers enter the check-in hall on the third floor of the international terminal → check-in at the counter → Immigration inspection→ Airport Security Check → Thai Airways VIP lounge on the fourth floor →Boarding Gate on the third floor.
International Arrival
Passengers disembark and enter the second floor of the terminal → Immigration inspection → Baggage claim on the first floor → Customs inspection → leave the airport.
6. VIP Lounge
Air China’s VIP Lounge is co-located with the Thai Airways Lounge in the terminal.
First Class and Business Class passengers or Platinum Card and Gold Card holders are entitled to use the Thai Airways Royal Silk Lounge. Platinum Card and Gold Card holders are allowed to bring one passenger who is traveling on the same flight into the lounge.

1. Bus
Phuket Island has two bus lines that serve the beaches: the blue line and the green line (with air conditioning). Both operate from 07:00 to 18:00. The buses depart from the market on Ranong Road every 30 minutes, and the last bus back to town from the beaches departs at 18:00. One-way tickets for the blue bus cost 15 to 20 baht, and for the green bus the cost is approximately 100 baht.
2. Taxi
There are few taxis on Phuket Island, but you can take a tuk tuk if you aren’t going far. Unlike Bangkok, the tuk tuks on Phuket are small four-wheeled vehicles modified from pickup trucks that can transport about six people at a time.
3. Ferryboat
It takes about 10 minutes to go from Rawai Beach to the Coral Island by ferryboat. The boat bound for Phi Phi Islands is called the Friendship Boat, and it departs at 8:30 a.m. each day. The voyage lasts for 1.5 hours and the wharf is near Phuket town.
