Hefei is in a subtropical humid monsoon climate zone, which changes from warm, temperate conditions to subtropical weather. In general, the weather in Hefei is mild and rainfall is moderate. Seasons are clearly distinguished.
Spring: Cold and warm fronts can cause unpredictable weather. For example, showers alternate with sunshine and temperatures change randomly.
Summer: Summer is the longest season of the year. The temperatures are high, with a lot of precipitation. Rainfall mainly occurs in May and June. Locals even refer to them as the “rainy months”.
Autumn: This is the shortest season of the year. The temperature drops fast from the summer heat and the days are normally sunny.
Winter: Even if it is quite cold in winter, it doesn't snow much. There are more sunny days than rainy and snowy days.
