Basic InformationThe Lhasa Gonggar Airport, is a Class I Aviation Port, located 98 kilometers southwest of Lhasa, in Jiazhulin town, Gonggar County, Lhoka Prefecture, and 7km away from Rawa-me, which is the capital of Gonggar County. The Airport sits on the south bank of the Brahamputra River and has an elevation of 3,600 meters, making it one of the highest-elevation airports in the world which can accommodate large aircraft including the Boeing 747 and the Airbus.
