Zhanjiang
Brief Introduction:
Previously called “Guangzhou Bay” and “Harbor City,” Zhanjiang is located on the Leizhou Peninsula, the southernmost point on mainland China, where Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan meet. Zhanjiang faces the ocean on three sides, and with its monsoon-influenced tropical or subtropical climate, the city escapes the chill of winter and the heat of summer. Tropical crops and marine products are key industries, and Zhanjiang is nationally recognized for its seafood.
Reasons for Recommendation:
Historically, Zhanjiang was known as an ancient maritime town, and Xuwen Harbor was the first port on the Maritime Silk Road. In addition, there is a lot to see: islands, beaches, hot springs, tropical landscapes, cultural landmarks, and volcano craters. Zhanjiang is a brilliant pearl of the South China Sea.
