2.Basic Information
Yuncheng Airport is Shanxi’s second-largest airport. Transportation from the airport is convenient, with links to the city centre. The Yunfeng, Yunsan, and Dayun Highways also connect Yuncheng to Xi’an, Sanmenxia, and Taiyuan. Yuncheng Airport is the window to the world for the Yellow River Golden Triangle of Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Henan.
3.Terminal Information
Yuncheng Airport has two terminals: Terminal 1, the international terminal, covers an area of 3,059 sqm. Terminal 2 has an area of 27,000 sqm. The airport can accommodate 2 million passengers per year. The runway is 3,000 m long and 60 m wide. The airport is designated 4D, which is suitable for B767-300 aircraft or smaller. The apron covers more than 60,000 sqm, which can accommodate 10 aircraft with 6 jet bridges.

Taxis:
The taxi stand at the airport is located outside Arrivals Door 3 in Terminal 2. During the day (6:00-22:00), the flag fall on taxis is 5 RMB/2 km. For journeys longer than 2 km, the fare is 1.5 RMB/km. During the evening (22:00-6:00), the flag fall on taxis is 5.5 RMB/2 km. For journeys longer than 2 km, the fare is 1.8 RMB/km. The new standard journey is 6 km, and after 6 km, the taxi will assess a 50% surcharge. For waiting or parking time during the journey, every 2.5 min will be assessed as 0.5 km.
Public Transportation:
Two bus routes run to the airport or via the airport. The fare on Route 13 is 2 RMB/person and the fare on Route 18 is 1.5 RMB/person.

Yuncheng has a continental, semi-arid climate influenced year-round by monsoons. During the winter, Yuncheng is impacted by dry, cold northwest monsoon air from Siberia, making the city dry and cold. During the summer, Yuncheng is impacted by warm, moist southeast monsoon air from the Pacific Ocean, making the city hot and rainy, with numerous thunderstorms.
