2.Basic Information
Mianyang Nanjiao Airport is located in Mianyang, Sichuan Province. Mianyang is known as the "China Science and Technology City", and is part of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone. The airport was opened on April 28, 2001, with the aim of "building a backbone airport that leverages the assets of Chengdu and Chongqing international aviation hubs". It is 10 kilometers away from the city center and boasts convenient transport links, including connections to the Baoji-Chengdu railway, Chengdu-Mianyang-Guangzhou Expressway, and Jiuzhai Loop Line.
It is a class 4D civilian airport, with a 2400-meter long runway, an airport apron area spanning 111,000 square meters, and 20 aircraft stands. In 2019, annual passenger traffic exceeded 4 million passengers.
3.Terminal Information
Mianyang Airport has two terminals, T1 and T2. Terminal T2 came into operation on November 7, 2022. Terminal T1 spans an area of 26,000 square meters and has 6 security check channels, 12 check-in counters, 3 baggage belts, and 5 ticket counters. Terminal T2 spans an area of 20,000 square meters and has 7 security check channels, 13 check-in counters, 3 baggage belts, and 1 ticket counter. By operating both terminals, the airport's annual passenger traffic is expected to increase to around 5 million passengers.
4.Location of Check-in Counters
Manual check-in procedures can be performed at check-in counters 2-12 on the second floor of Terminal T1 or on the first floor of Terminal T1.
