Mianyang
Brief Introduction:
In ancient times, Mianyang was known as Fuxian or Mianzhou. Later, because of the city’s location south of Mian Mountain, it was called “Mianyang.” Mianyang has a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate with four clear yet mild seasons. Three rivers, the Fu River, the Anchang River, and the Furong River, converge at Mianyang, and the city is ringed by Mian Mountain, Fule Mountain, West Mountain, and South Mountain. The city also features Sanjiang Lake, which covers 5.1 square kilometers, and Xianhai Lake, which covers 6.3 square kilometers.
Reasons for Recommendation:
Mianyang is home to rich cultural and natural landscapes, and it is a famed historical and cultural city in Sichuan. From Mianyang, visitors can enjoy the Beichuan Qiang City, a National 5A Scenic Site, as well as 13 National 4A Scenic Sites, including Yaowang Valley, Jiuhuang Mountain, Bao’en Temple, and Douchui Mountain.
