2.Basic Information
The airport is located 16 kilometers southeast of Budapest. When it was constructed in 1939, it served as a civilian-military airport; during the Second World War, in 1944, it was turned into a military airport. After the war, the government invested heavily in turning the airport into a civilian one. The newly renovated airport was put into service in 1950, and was expanded in the decades to come. In 2011, the airport was rebranded as Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport.

3.Terminal Information
The airport has 3 terminals: T1, T2A and T2B. Air China’s airport services are based in T2B.

4.Location of Check-in Counters
Air China uses check-in counters 59-64 in T2B to serve passengers.

International Departures
Enter International Departures concourse,T2B→Check in at check-in counters 59-64→Have boarding pass inspected→Clear security check→Clear immigration→Board
International Transit
Enter International Arrivals concourse, T2B→Clear immigration→Proceed to Baggage Claim→Claim baggage→Clear customs→Proceed to transit counters by following the signage if you are traveling to a Schengen country (You don’t need to claim your baggage if your baggage has been checked to the final destination at the airport of origin)
Enter International Arrivals concourse, T2B→Clear security check for transit before clearing customs, proceed upstairs, go back to the boarding gate area for flights to non-Schengen countries and check in at the boarding gate (if you are to transit to a non-Schengen country)

6.VIP Lounge
Air China uses SkyCourt Lounge in T2 to serve its premium passengers (Hours: 05:00-21:00). Business Class passengers and Star Alliance Platinum/Gold passengers can access the lounge. Star Alliance Platinum/Gold members can invite one guest into the lounge who is to take the same flight on the same day.

7.Airport Transportation

Shuttle Buses:
Each bus offers 8 to 11 seats. Drivers can speak many languages. Tickets can be purchased at the shuttle bus counters of the airport. One-way ride costs from 1800 HUF (approximately 6 EUR).

Subway and Buses:
Buses 200E link T2 directly to Kőbánya-Kispest subway station. The “blue” subway gets to Deák Ferenc Square in 20 minutes, and buses 950/950A/914 go to Deák Ferenc Square. One-way bus fare is 450 HUF (about 1.5 EUR), and one-way subway fare is 350 HUF (about 1 EUR).

Taxis:
A taxi ride from the airport to downtown takes about 30 minutes and costs about 6500 HUF (about 22 EUR). Taxis can be flagged down outside the arrival concourses of T2A and T2B.

Cars:
It’s easy do drive from the airport and downtown. A drive on Ferihegy Highway takes about 20 minutes. Car parks are offered at the airport.

1.Buses:
Budapest boasts a dense network of bus transportation linking to populous areas, suburbs and some subway stations and the train station of the city.

2.Subway:
Budapest currently has three subway lines: yellow M1, red M2 and blue M3. The entrances of the subway are all marked with the letter “M” of different colors denoting different lines. With all major tourist attractions of the city being close to subway stations, it’s a good option to get around by the subway.

3.Taxis:
Budapest’s attractions are relatively close to each other and it’s easy to get from one to another by taxi.
