Put into service in 1918, the airport located southwest of Barcelona is the largest airport in the Catalonian region and the 9th largest ariport in Europe.
3.Terminal Information
The airport has two terminals: T1 and T2. The free ride with ferry buses operating between them takes about 10 minutes.

Driving:
Drive on Highway C-32B, which is accessible from all major roads in Barcelona, to T2, and then drive on the roads of the airport area to T1. Or drive on Highway C-31 and exit at Aeropuerto T1.
Trains:
The trains link T2 to all major train stations of Barcelona and run at 30-minute intervals. A one-way trip from T2 to Sants Station takes about 20 minutes and costs 4.1 Euros/person.
Buses:
Bus A1 and Bus A2 link the T1 and T2 to Catalunya Plaza in downtown Barcelona, and a trip takes about 35 minutes and costs 5.9 Euros/passenger. Bus 46 goes to Spanish Plaza and a trip takes about 50 minutes.
Taxis:
The fares from T1 or T2 to downtown cost 30 Euros and 25 Euros respectively. There’s a 1 Euro surcharge for large baggage.

1.Subway
Trains run underground in urban areas and above ground in suburban areas. The subway system features 11 lines, including Line 9 and Line 10 which are still under construction, and 209 stations. It is operated by two companies, including TMB (Lines 1-5 and Line 11) and FGC (Lines 6-8).
2.Buses
Buses run from 07:00 to 23:00. Night buses are marked with “N”.
3.Taxis
On weekdays, fares start from 2 Euros and then go up by 0.9 Euro/kilometer. There’s a 19.49 Euros/hour charge for waiting time.

4.Renfe Trains
Renfe, an extensive network of commuter trains, links Barcelona’s important hubs of transportation to railway stations and the airport. Beware: Trains with the same origin and destination could make stops at different places. Names of the stops are shown on the displays onboard the trains and on the platforms.
Barcelona has a Mediterranean climate with mild, humid winters and warm, dry summers. The best time for travel lasts from June to October, with warm seawater and sun-drenched sandy beaches.
