2. Basic Information
Tan Son Nhat International Airport is located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and is the largest airport in Vietnam. The Airport originally was constructed by the French, and was expanded to serve as an Air Force base by Americans during the Vietnam War. The Airport's new passenger terminal was completed and began operation in August 2007.

3. Terminal Information
Tan Son Nhat International Airport has two terminal buildings. Terminal 1 serves domestic routes and Terminal 2 serves international routes. Air China operates from Terminal 2.

4. Location of Check-In Counters
Air China’s check-in counters are counters C6 - C10 on Level 2 of Terminal 2.

For connecting flights, Air China uses Vietnam Airlines’ special transfer counter, located in the Transfer Zone, Level 2, Terminal 2.

International departures
Passengers enter the Check-in Hall on Level 2 of Terminal 2 → complete check-in procedures at counters C6 - C10 → proceed to customs check → border inspection → security check → wait at the boarding gate → board the flight

International arrivals
Passengers disembark and enter the International Arrivals Hall on Level 1 of Terminal 2 → proceed to health inspection and quarantine → border inspection → proceed down the escalator to the Baggage Claim Hall on Level 1 → claim checked baggage → customs check → airport exit and ground transportation

Ho Chi Minh City boasts convenient public transport facilities. The bus terminal is opposite Ben Thanh. The frequency of bus service is approximately 15 minutes to 20 minutes.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the taxi flag-down fare is between VDN 8,000 and 12,000. A round-trip in the downtown will generally cost no more than VDN 25,000. Taxis can be arranged by phone.
