2.Basic InformationWuhan Tianhe International Airport,also know as Wuhan Tianhe Airport or Wuhan Airport,is an integral hub for air travel in central China.It was designated by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and is also the largest aircraft maintenance base.The airport is able to accommodate a variety of large passenger aircrafts with its complete range of facilities.
3. Terminal Information
The phase-three expansion of Wuhan Airport is a strategic project for the city of Wuhan and Hubei province. By 2020, the project aims to increase Wuhan Airport's annual passenger throughput to 35 million, cargo throughput to 440,000 metric tons, and takeoff and landing capacity to 404,000 slots. The external design of the terminal building is inspired by the Milky Way and the form of a phoenix spreading its wings. The design combines function, space, fine architecture and cutting-edge technology into an impressive building that is sure to become a major landmark in Wuhan.
4. Location of Check-in Counters
Air China check-in counters for domestic departures are located at counters K01–K08. Air China check-in counters for international departures (including flights to Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) are located at counters H19–H20. There are also 12 self-service kiosks located at either end of Island K.
5.Airport DirectionsDomestic departures:Arrive at T3 → Check in and deposit checked baggage at Island K (passengers without baggage can use the self-service kiosks) → Go through security in Zone B (for passengers with gate numbers 31–61) → Follow signs to designated departure lounge → Board flight (Note:The check-in deadline for domestic flights is 40 minutes before departure)

International arrivals:Enter T3 at level three via jet bridge → Descend escalator (or elevator) to level two → Apply for Visa on Arrival (if required) → Clear immigration and claim baggage → Go to Zone C of level-two arrivals lobby → Exit airport
6.VIP LoungeThe Air China lounge is located in the boarding area of Concourse 1 on the east side of T3 and is open from 06:00 until the last flight departs.The lounge features a TV area,business area,rest area,massage area,reading area and dining area.

Wuhan–Xiaogan Intercity Railway:
1.Departs from Hankou Railway Station and terminates at Xiaogan East Station,stopping at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport.
2.Tianhe Airport Railway Station → Urban subway Exit AB → Transit Centre level two (corridors 1,2 and 3) → T3 level-two arrivals (doors 6,7 and 8) → T3 level-four departures (approx.journey time: 10 minutes).

1. Subway
Wuhan Subway, which is also called the "Wuhan Urban Rail Transit", saw completion of its Phase I project – the Urban Rail Transit Line 1 (Huangpu Road – Zongguan) - in September 2004. Fares start from RMB1.5 and vary on different segments.
2. Bus
In early 2010, Wuhan offered nearly 7,000 public (diesel/electric) buses on 273 routes, with an average length of 19.9 km. These are divided into the general lines, special lines, night lines, clean energy lines, tourist lines and CMB lines. The fares are RMB1/person for general buses, RMB2/person for air-conditioned buses, RMB1.5/person for double-decker buses. Some of the suburban lines use a graduated fare system.
3. Taxi
Taxis in Wuhan charge a flag-down fare of RMB6 for the first 2 kilometers, and RMB1.4 for each additional kilometer traveled thereafter. A fuel surcharge of RMB 1.5 Yuan will also be charged. For a one-way journey exceeding 7 kilometers, 50% of the regular fare will be added as “Empty Taxi Fee”.
4. Ferry
With a history that dates back more than 106 years, the Wuhan ferry has 38 docks including Yue Han, Wuhan Guan, Zhonghua Road, Ji Jia Zui, Hanyangmen, Wangjiaxiang, Qingchuan, Nianyutao, and more. 48 motor vessels cruise among the three towns along 18 ferry routes. There are 5 public ferry routes including Wuhan Guan - Zhonghua Road, Ji Jia Zui – Hanyangmen.
