2. Basic Overview
Nanjing Lukou International Airport is located in Lukou Town, Jiangning District, Nanjing City. It officially opened on July 1, 1997, and is positioned as an "important hub among world-class airports in the Yangtze River Delta." At present, flight routes reach 78 major cities in China and 35 international and regional urban destinations, and a route network covering China and the rest of Asia, Europe, North America and Australia has been initially established. Annual passenger turnover is 30 million, ranking 11th among airports in China, and cargo throughput is 374,000 tons, ranking 10th among airports in China.
3. Terminal Overview
Nanjing Lukou International Airport has two terminals, T1 and T2. Air China flights operate at T1, which has a construction area of 210,000 m2 and 32 contact stands. Nanjing Lukou International Airport has a total parking area of 180,000 m2 with 4200 parking spaces, and offers 24-hour parking services for various types of vehicles. The parking lot provides parking spaces for small cars, minibuses and accessible parking, as well as inquiry services, wheelchair services for special passengers and reservation services for accessible parking spaces. 5. Process Guide
Domestic Departures
Enter the departure hall and go to the check-in counter - Collect boarding pass and check in baggage - Security check - Wait for boarding and board airplane.
Domestic Arrivals
Enter the first floor which is the Arrivals floor → Collect checked baggage → Leave the airport.
International Departures
Enter the departure hall and go to the check-in counter - Collect boarding pass and check in baggage - Inspection and quarantine - Customs inspection - Border inspection - Security inspection - Wait for boarding and board airplane.
International Arrivals
Flight arrival — Inspection and quarantine — Border inspection — Claim baggage — Customs inspection — Leave the airport. Since the opening of T2, the passenger check-in deadline for all domestic outbound flights at Lukou Airport is adjusted to 40 minutes prior to the flight's departure time. Please arrive at the airport two hours prior to the departure time and leave sufficient time for check-in and security inspection to avoid delays to your journey.
6. VIP Lounge Introduction
Air China's domestic First Class Lounge V8 is located opposite Gate 115 in T1. Opening hours are from 6:00 a.m. to the last flight of the day. Breakfast: 6:30–8:15 Lunch: 11:00–13:00 Dinner: 17:00–19:00. Metro
The Lukou International Airport Station of Metro Line S1 (airport line) is located on floor B1 between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Nanjing Lukou International Airport. There are nine stations on this line (Nanjing South Railway Station, Cuipingshan, Hohai University, Jiyindadao, Zhengfangzhonglu, Xiangyulubei, Xiangyulunan, Lukou International Airport and Konggangxinchengjiangning), including three elevated stations and six underground stations. The first train and last train from Nanjing South Railway Station depart at 06:00 and 22:40 respectively. The first train and last train from the Lukou International Airport Station depart at 06:00 and 22:42 respectively.

Line 1
Nanjing Railway Station East Square to the airport: First bus departs at 04:30 and last bus departs at 21:00. The bus stops at the Nanjing Airport Hotel stop (No. 451 Longpan Middle Road).
Line 2
Hexi Wanda Plaza (east end of the Sky Screen at the north of the Wanda Hilton Hotel) to the airport: First bus departs at 04:30 and last bus departs at 21:00. The buses between 07:45 and 20:30 stop at the City Air Terminal at Nanjing South Railway Station (located inside the Nanjing South Railway Station North Square Bus Terminal).

Line 1
From 08:00 to the last flight of the day. Drop-off points include Cuipingshan Hotel, Yuhua Square, Qinhong Bridge, Qili Street (Airport Hotel), Xihuamen and Nanjing Railway Station. (Fare: CNY 20)

Taxis in Nanjing are divided into mid-range and high-end cabs. The flag-down fare is CNY 11 (includes the first 2.5–3 km) and the price per kilometer thereafter is CNY 2.4–2.9/km, with additional charges for waiting.
8. Local Transportation
1. Metro
As of December 2020, the Nanjing Metro has ten lines in operation, covering all the administrative areas and connecting multiple transportation hubs and major tourism destinations with over 150 stations. Fares start at CNY 2 and are charged by mileage. Line S1 runs to the airport.
2. Bus
Most Nanjing buses offer self-service ticketing. The fare is CNY 2 and no change will be provided. Mobile payment is supported, including Alipay, UnionPay, etc. Certain buses that connect the urban area and suburbs (especially on the cross-river lines) still have conductors and the fare is calculated by segments. Most buses operate from 05:00 to 22:30. The night buses also cover the urban areas.

4. Ferry
The Nanjing–Pukou ferry line (Zhongshan Wharf–Pukou Wharf) is the most important cross-river passage in Nanjing. There are also ferry lines that connect Yanziji and Baguazhou, Yanziji and Tongjiangji, Youheng Ferry and Hongwei Ferry, and Mianhuadi Ferry and Qigan Ferry respectively, for a total of five ferry routes. The ferries can provide services including inland water transport of passengers and goods, domestic tourism, water tours, and river memorials.
