2. Basic InformationShenyang Taoxian International Airport is one of China's eight major regional aviation hubs, and also serves as the air transport hub for Northeast China. The airport is located in Taoxian, Dongling District, more than 20 kilometers away from the city center of Shenyang. Fushun, Benxi, Anshan, Tieling, Liaoyang and Yingkou are all within100 kilometers and are connected to the airport by an excellent highway network.

Airport Shuttle:The shuttle provides transportation from the airport to the Air-Ticket Office in Maluwan, No. 117 Zhonghua Road. The trip takes about 40 minutes and costs about RMB 15. Departure times are set to coincide with arriving flights.
Taxi:The base fare is RMB 8 and the incremental charge is RMB 1 for every 3 minutes. It costs between RMB 80~90 for a taxi to reach Shenyang North Railway Station and the drive takes about 35 minutes.
Airport Express: Shenyang Metro Line 2 is expected to begin trial operations in December 2011; the South Extension of line 2, expected to be completed in 2014, will be Shenyang’s first subway line passing through Taoxian International Airport.

1. Railway
Shenyang is the railway hub in Northeast China, and is a major junction for the regional rail network, including Beijing-Harbin, Shenyang-Dalian, Shenyang-Jilin, Shenyang-Dandong, Shenyang-Fushun, Qinhuangdao-Shenyang passenger line, Harbin-Dalian passenger line and many more. Shenyang North Railway Station is the largest train station in Northeast China, and most trains departing from Shenyang originate here.
2. Bus
More than 300 bus lines operate in Shenyang; most of the buses do not have conductors. The bus fare is RMB 1 in the city; the suburban bus lines charge graduated fares based on distance. Bus service is available 24 hours a day.

In Shenyang, the daytime base fare is RMB 8 for the first 3 kilometers(including 3 kilometers), with an incremental charge of RMB 1 for each additional 550 meters. For trips that exceed 15 kilometers the incremental charge increases to RMB 1 for each additional 370 meters. At night, the base fare is RMB 9 for the first 3 kilometers(including 3 kilometers) with an incremental charge of RMB 1 for each additional 500 meters. For trips that exceed 15 kilometers, the incremental charge increases to RMB 1 per 340 meters. All fares are subject to a fuel surcharge of RMB 1.

With the official opening of Metro Line 1 in 2010, Shenyang became the seventh city in China, and the first city in the northeast region to have subway services. Line 1 travels through: 13th Street, Central Avenue, 7th Street, 4th street, Zhang Shi, Development Road, Yuhong Square, Welcome Road, Zhonggong Street, Qigong Street, Baogong Street, Tiexi Square, Yunfeng North Street, Shenyang station, Taiyuan Street, South Market, Qingnian Street, Huaiyuan Men, Zhong Jie, Dong Zhong Jie, Pangjiang Street and Liming Square. The fares are RMB 2 for one to eight stations, RMB 3 for nine to 12 stations, and RMB 4 for 13 stations or more.
