It is a major international airport and the second largest airport in Myanmar. The airport handles international flights to Kunming, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok and Hanoi, among other destinations.

1. Bus
In Yangon, the bus fare is charged based on the distance traveled, and fares are affordable. After 18:00, a surcharge of 5 to 10 Myanmar Kyats applies to all buses except the minibus (Linecar). All bus signs in Yangon are in Burmese, so it’s difficult for foreign visitors to identify bus lines.
2. Taxi
Taxis are the most popular means of transportation for foreign visitors in downtown Yangon. Almost all taxis are second-hand 1980s Japanese four-door cars and some of the taxies are not air-conditioned. Since the taxies don’t have mileage meters, passengers must negotiate a fare with the driver before starting a trip.
3. Boat
Boats operate between 05:00 and 21:00. The boats leave from the Port Commissioner Building on Strand Road every 10 to 15 minutes and the fare is around 3 Myanmar Kyats.
