Basic InformationMilan Malpensa Intercontinental Airport is the largest airport in Milan and also an important international airport in Northern Italy, handling flights to numerous domestic and international destinations. The airport opened for commercial flights in 1948 and became Milan’s major international airport after the second runaway was built in the 1950s. In 1995, Terminal 2 was opened and Terminal 1 underwent a large-scale renovation and expansion.
3. Terminal InformationMilan Malpensa Intercontinental Airport has two terminal buildings, T1 and T2. T1 is divided into Concourse A and Concourse B. Concourse C is under construction and is expected to open in 2012. T2 is exclusively used by the low cost airline EASYJET. The two terminals are connected by shuttle bus. Air China operates in T1.
