2. Basic Information
Also called Xiaoshan Airport, Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is one of China’s major hub airports, providing access to the city to both domestic and international visitors. Located on the south bank of the Qiangtang River, 27 kilometers away from the city center, it is the most important, largest, best equipped and busiest international air hub in Zhejiang Province.
3. Terminal Information
Xiaoshan Airport consists of two interconnected domestic and international terminal buildings, one 4E-class runway and advanced passenger and cargo facilities. The terminal buildings can accommodate 3,600 passengers during peak hours.

Taxi:
Taxi stands are located outside Gate No.5 of the Arrival Hall, on the 1st floor of the Terminal Building. The flag-down fare is RMB 10 for the first 4 kilometers and RMB 2 for each additional kilometer.
Airport Shuttle Bus:
The airport shuttle bus waiting room is located on the north side of Gate No.5 of the Arrival Hall, on the 1st floor of the Terminal Building. The bus departs every 15 to 30 min. The bus fare is approximately RMB 20.

1. Subway
Planned lines: Line No.1 (under construction)
Originally, 30 stations were planned for Subway Line No.1 (the Yuhan Express Station, which was added to the plan this year, raises this total to 31). All stations are now under construction. When completed, the subway line will cover 61.43 kilometers.
Line No.2 (southeast segment under construction)
This subway line will cover 49.0 kilometers and will boast 35 subway stations.
2. Taxi
In the downtown area, the flag-down fare is RMB 11 for the first 3 kilometers, RMB 2.5 for each additional kilometer (up to 10 kilometers), and RMB 3.75 per kilometer thereafter.
3. Bus
Hangzhou’s bus network consists of dozens of bus routes that cover every corner of the city and allow for convenient transportation. Single-digit or two-digit route numbers refer to regular bus routes (such as Route No.5, Route No.19). Tickets on these routes cost RMB 1. Route numbers beginning with “1” refer to electric buses routes (such as Route No.153). Tickets on these routes also cost RMB 1. Route numbers beginning with “K” refer to air-conditioned buses routes (such as K33). Tickets on these routes cost RMB 2. A distance-based ticket pricing system is used on suburban routes beginning with “3” and special routes beginning with “5". For regular buses, the minimum price is RMB 1. For air-conditioned buses, the minimum price is RMB 2.
