2.Basic Information
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is located in the north of Guangzhou, about 28 km/17.4 miles from downtown Guangzhou. It is one of the three largest aviation hubs in China.
3.Terminal Information
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has three runways, and two terminals – T1 and T2. T1 is divided into Zone A and Zone B, with the main building consisting of four floors: underground floor leads to metro and parking lot, first floor is for arrival, drop-off and pickup, second floor is arrival mezzanine, and third floor is the departure hall. At present, Air China is at T1. Passengers having arrived may leave the airport directly from the arrival hall, without coming to the main terminal building. To take metro, please go to the first floor of the terminal.
4.Location of Check-in Counters
Air China operates at Terminal 1.
Its check-in counters are at Island C/D, F3, Departure Hall of T1, and counters D13-15 are for rescheduling.
Air China VIP passengers may check in at the VIP check-in area opposite Island D.
Air China’s boarding area is at Zone B.

Domestic Departure
Passengers enter the domestic check-in hall on F3, Zone B of T1 → register luggage at Island C/D → check-in → security check at Zone B → wait for flights at Zone B → boarding
Domestic Arrival
Passenger get off the plane, come to F1, Zone B → baggage claim → pick up baggage → leave the airport
6.VIP Lounge
Air China VIP Lounge is in the departure hall of Zone B.
Opening hours: It opens 1 hour before the departure of the first flight of the day and closes after the departure of the last flight of the day.
The lounge is equipped with a variety of function areas including VIP rooms, dining area, massage area, internet area, rest area, business area, shower area, and provides considerate flight waiting services for First Class, Business Class passengers, PhoenixMiles members and Star Alliance Gold Card passengers.

Shuttle bus:
Operated by the two companies Airport Express and Airport Route, with buses to Guangzhou and other cities in Guangdong Province, as well as in-town terminals.
Metro:
Take the Guangzhou Metro Line 3 to the downtown area.
Taxi:
Guangzhou taxi fare: starting price RMB 10 for the first 2.5 kilometers, and then RMB 2.6/ km.
Taxi stands are set up at the arrival passages of Zone A&B outside the arrival hall of T1 – Gate A5 and Gate B6 respectively. To take a taxi, please queue up at the corresponding taxi stands.
Free shuttle bus:
Airport Express offers free shuttle bus service between T1 and T2.

2. Taxi
Guangzhou’s taxis are painted red, yellow, blue, gold and green. Different colors represent different taxi companies, but they all charge the same rates. In Guangzhou, the flag-down fare is RMB 7 for the first 5 kilometers. Each additional kilometer costs RMB 2.6 with a fuel surcharge of RMB 1.
3. Rail
There are four railway stations in Guangzhou: Guangzhou Railway Station (for passengers and cargo), Guangzhou East Railway Station (for passengers and cargo), Guangzhou South Railway Station (for passengers only) and Guangzhou North Railway Station (for cargo only).
4. Bus
In Guangzhou, bus fares are paid by depositing coins into machines located inside the front door of each bus. Passengers must have the exact change. The onboard recorded language system announces the names of the station in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
Located in the transition zone between the North Temperate Zone and the Tropical Zone, Guangzhou features a pleasant climate which is warm and rainy, with abundant sunlight, long summers, a short frost season and one of the smallest average annual temperature ranges among all metropolitan areas in China.
The rainy season lasts from April to June; from August to September, the weather is hot and typhoons are frequent; the best season for travel is from October to December, when temperatures are moderate.
