To guarantee a safe and smooth air transport, the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China prescribes that, as far as passengers taking domestic flights are concerned, 2 pieces of hand luggage, with each being no more than 5kg, are allowed for those holding First Class tickets; and 1 piece of hand luggage being no more than 5kg is allowed for those holding Business Class tickets or Economy Class tickets. The volume of each article should be less than 20×40×55cm. Luggage exceeding the prescribed number, weight or volume should be checked.

This prescription shall come into effect as of May 1^st, 2008.
