Flight Standby Procedure:

Before going to the airport, passengers should inquire about backup seats. If possible, please go through the flight standby formalities at the appropriate Air China counter. Passengers shall fill in the backup-seat-booking application at the airport ticket office or check-in counter and inquire 30 minutes prior the flight's departure if the backup seat is available. If the seat is available, the passenger must show the valid identity certificates to the booking clerk and the ticket will be changed.
